Since we can't afford a Summer Get Away, we're enjoying ourselves instead by just going around the city and enjoy what we got.Just like the beach I posted last week where it was only less than 30 minutes drive from our place, yesterday, we went to the Community Pool which is only less than 5 minutes drive, we can actually walk but it's too hot to do that. Patrick went to the pool which only cost us $2, while Kendrick play in the playground since he don't want to swim and not interested in playing in the Water Spray either. I packed a few snack that we can nibble while watching them.
I really like this idea actually, because it gives us a chance to explore the city instead of going far for a vacation which is not actually a relaxing for me specially if I'm the only one that have to pack and unpacked everything, booked the hotel,do the shopping for our baon,shopping for clothes and all the other "responsibility" that comes in preparing a vacation, then when it's over and you get home, there's a file of bills that need to be paid, pile of laundry that need to wash,clean the house,clean the car,shopping for another grocery etc..etc.. as in the list were endless and before you knew it, you are more stressed than ever! LOL!
At least this way, no need to worry,we can go anytime,no flight to catch,no suitcases to pack, no need to spent 9 or 12 hrs of driving but instead, we can come and go,grab a snack,a pair of clothes,and we are good to go!

Cheetos rin pala fave nyo para rin mga dragons ko dito at MIL. they love cheetos. Sexy ng mommy ahh parang akohehehe. You guys are lucky you have tons of easy access place where you can take your boy for fun time. Nag dadrive ka na baMarz?

There are still so many ways to have a wonderful & inexpensive vacation.And given the tough times, getting away from your everyday living might be even more important.You just got a very wise decission on how to spend your summer vacation there.
My daughter is a fan of Cheetos too.
Mu family and I didn't travel much this summer but like you it doesn't mean that you cannot bond. Families can enjoy without spending that much and looks like your family really enjoyed your staycation.
