PBW#25: Our Own FBS

FBS stands for Family Bible Study that Patrick came up with. I got the idea from a friend in church who do the same with her family and we started doing it last Saturday night. I decided it'll be fun for the boys and I include it in their summer activity but I decided we will keep doing it even after Summer. I'm glad they are so cooperative. Our li'l bible study lasted for only like 15 minutes, as you know that kids have a very short span of attention, they get bored easily. We will extend it as the weeks go by though.What we did was, we started with a prayer, then I read a story from their bible as I don't want to overwhelmed them if I read my bible, then I asked them a few questions what they think about the story and if they learned something, Patrick is responsive though,Kendrick is just ok I guess. We end it in prayer,I asked them what they want to pray about, Patrick pray for food,shelter,clothing and video games in particular order and they listen as I prayed and give thanks.

Patrick suggest that we might sing a song or two as well just like the regular bible study where we went eash Friday and I told him he's the one that need to sing, so far,he like the idea.By the way, here's their bible that we used in out study;
